Microneedling is often referred to as Collagen Induction Therapy. The name stems from the use of micro-needles that lightly brush over your skin, creating minuscule puncture wounds. Doing this activates the healing process of your skin, promoting the production of collagen and elastin. Thus, your skin feels plumper, firmer, and looks more youthful. This is a non-invasive procedure as the micro-wounds are so small they barely break the surface of your skin. So, no surgery is required, and it can be completed without anesthesia.
Microneedling Types Available
El Paso Cosmetic Surgery offers three different microneedling services:
- Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Microneedling
- Microneedling with PRP
- Scarlet RF Microneedling
Our microneedling HA treatment adds hyaluronic acid to your skin during the microneedling process. This substance can make the skin look even plumper and fuller. By using it with microneedling, it gets deeper into the skin, and the effects are more enhanced.
Microneedling with PRP uses your own blood plasma to kickstart the production of new cells in your skin – such as collagen and elastin. Effectively, it supercharges the overall effects of microneedling and makes your skin look brighter and more youthful.
Lastly, Scarlet RF microneedling calls upon short-pulse radiofrequency energy to improve your results. The energy is applied to your face following the treatment, triggering the skin’s natural tightening mechanisms. This is an excellent option if your skin is sagging, or you have pronounced wrinkles. Scarlet treatment can also be combined with PRP.
