How Much Does a Facelift Cost?

Are you trying to treat sagging skin and facial wrinkles with over-the-counter creams, but really seeing no relief?

If that’s the case, you may be a good candidate for a facelift, a surgical procedure that’s one of the most effective solutions for moderate-to-severe facial aging. A facelift can help correct deep tissue aging that leads to facial sagging, as well as tighten skin and remove any excess so as to show off your newfound results.

With all that in mind, you might be left with this one pertinent question: “How much does a facelift cost?”

The Average Cost of a Facelift

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of a facelift in the United States is about $7,448. Keep in mind that this is just the cost of the procedure itself; it doesn’t include fees for an anesthesiologist, surgical fees, medications, and other associated costs.

This is also an average cost across the United States; some areas of the country will have higher prices than others. At El Paso Cosmetic Surgery in El Paso, TX, our facelift procedures are highly tailored to each patient, so costs can vary.

You’ll be provided with an estimate for your facelift procedure during your initial consultation. El Paso Cosmetic Surgery has financing available for patients who qualify.

What to Expect From Your Facelift

Facelift procedures differ from person to person, but in general, your surgery will begin by making incisions behind the ears and/or around the hairline. These incisions allow your plastic surgeon to target the facial muscles and tighten them, thus helping to address facial drooping.

After the muscles have been repositioned, your surgeon will adjust your facial skin and trim any excess skin that contributes to drooping. At this point, your plastic surgeon will suture the incisions and provide you with post-op recovery instructions.

Most patients can see results from their facelift procedures about two to three months after swelling and bruising has gone down. Final results are usually visible within six months to a year after surgery.
