Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a safe and effective treatment that can be used to treat several skin conditions including acne, acne scars, sunspots, discoloration, photodamage, wrinkles, and large pores. Chemical peels provide controlled exfoliation of the skin, resulting in a smoother, more even-toned, and more radiant appearance.

Chemical peels are part of one of the many services you can benefit from with our Platinum VIP Rewards Program.

What are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are specially formulated chemical solutions that are applied to the skin to chemically exfoliate away the topmost layers of skin. After a chemical peel, the skin repairs and becomes smoother, with a more even complexion.

At our SkinCeuticals Advanced Clinical Spa East & West, we can customize and formulate a unique medical-grade chemical peel concoction based on your needs. We understand that no skin is alike, and therefore, skin treatments should be customized to suit each individual.

The types of chemical peels available are:

  • Advanced Pigment Corrector
  • AHA (Alpha hydroxy acids) 20% & 30%
  • BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) 20% & 30%
  • Glycolic Peel
  • Lactic Acid 2%
  • Lactic Acid & Salicylic Acid 14%

What is a Chemical Peel Like?

When you arrive at your appointment for a chemical peel at our Advanced Clinical MedSpa, you  will be taken to a private room where you can comfortably lie down for the treatment. One of our trained staff members will cleanse and prep your skin, and then the chemical peel will be evenly applied.

As the chemical peel works to exfoliate your skin, you may feel some slight discomfort, warmth, or stinging. We make sure to check in with all of our patients to ensure they have as comfortable of a treatment as possible. A typical chemical peel appointment takes between 60 and 90 minutes.

Recovery and Results After a Chemical Peel?

For best results, we recommend a series of four to six treatments to see significant skin improvement, especially when targeting a specific skin condition. For routine skin maintenance, chemical peels can be done monthly.

Downtime after a chemical peel is minimal. We recommend no sun exposure or exercise for the first 24 hours. Results from a chemical peel can be seen in as little as two weeks.

Complement your treatment with a SkinCeuticals® regimen to maintain results even longer!  Purchase your SkinCeuticals® products at the ONLY SkinCeuticals® Advanced Clinical Spa in El Paso. Earn points and discounts when you enroll in the SkinCeuticals® Rewards Program.

Am I a Good Chemical Peel Candidate?

A skin analysis by our experienced SkinCeuticals Aesthetician is required to determine if you are a candidate for a chemical peel, as well as which medical-grade chemical peel is needed. Chemical peels can be done on patients as early as in their teens (with parental consent).

You may be a good candidate for a chemical peel if you:

  • Would like to improve the appearance of acne, acne scars, sun spots, discoloration, fine lines, and/or large pores
  • Do not have any conditions that make your skin more sensitive or have abnormal reactions
  • Are in generally good health and have realistic expectations on treatment results
