Candidates for a Brow/Forehead Lift

  • Excess upper eyelid skin
  • Have deep horizontal creases across your forehead
  • Have furrows (frown lines) between the eyebrows
  • You are healthy individual and do not have any medical conditionals that may impair healing
  • Have realistic expectations and positive outlook
  • A non-smoker. Patients are asked to stop smoking approximately 2-3 weeks prior and after surgery.

Procedure Right for Me

During the initial consultation at our practice, Dr. Sozer will examine your face pointing out multiple techniques that can be used during the brow/forehead lift.

Endoscopic Forehead Lift or Brow Lift:

We offer several methods of forehead/brow rejuvenation at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, and the Endoscopic Brow Lift is one of our techniques. An endoscope is a fiber-optic camera that allows us to elevate the brow and rejuvenate the forehead with minimal incisions. This camera is introduced under the skin and subcutaneous tissues through a tiny incision made behind the hairline. In addition to being a relatively quick procedure, endoscopic brow lift patients will enjoy the benefits of a rapid recovery and minimal scarring, making it a great choice those who yearn for a refreshed appearance in a short time. This procedure is best complimented with an eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty). A non-surgical procedure that our Advanced Clinical Medspa can provide that may help lift this area is Ultherapy.

Endotine Forehead Lift:

To assure soft tissue fixation during the forehead lift procedure, we use the ENDOTINE Forehead™, a breakthrough device designed to facilitate facial aesthetic procedures, reduce operating time, and improve surgical outcomes. The device is used to lift the forehead skin and hold it in place instead of using stitches. Made of bio absorbable co-polymer, the device is metabolized by the body during the healing process so it doesn’t need to be removed.

Endotine TransBleph™: Eyelid Surgery and Browlift Procedure

The ENDOTINE TransBleph™ allows us to perform a brow lift or a combination of brow lift and eyelid surgery through a single, upper eyelid incision like that used in a traditional blepharoplasty. During the procedure, we remove upper eyelid skin and reposition the brow for a rejuvenated appearance without the need of a full forehead. ENDOTINE Forehead™, is a bio absorbable device that is used instead of stitches, and helps reduce surgery time and speed recovery.

Brow/Forehead Lift Recovery

Recovery time following a brow/forehead lift surgery varies greatly among individuals. Depending on your general physical condition and the extent of your surgery, you may be able to return to non-strenuous activities within ten days after surgery. It may take 1-2 weeks for swelling and bruising to resolve; however, in some cases, some patients may show no detection of a procedure done. Full recovery time should be up to 6 months.

Risks and Complications

All surgery has risks and potential complications. Although the risks are not common, it is important that you understand the potential complications and know that no surgeon can offer risk-free surgery or guarantee of perfect result. Dr. Sozer will discuss any possible risks in detail during your consultation and will be sure to answer any questions or concerns that may arise.

Surgical Center

Brow/Forehead lift procedures are considered outpatient surgery and are performed under general anesthesia; however, if an overnight stay is required, we can also offer that service at our surgical center.

Our surgical center, El Paso Cosmetic Surgical Center, is in our West El Paso state-of-the-art facility which offers a comfortable and private setting.  El Paso Cosmetic Surgical Center has been certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. This is a voluntary program of certification, meaning that at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery we choose to have our plastic surgery center inspected to ensure excellence and quality care to our plastic surgery patients. Only those facilities that meet the most stringent requirements for patient care, cleanliness, and equipment are accredited by the AAAASF.
