Facial Hair Transplantation

(Beard, moustache, and sideburn transplantation)

For various reasons ranging from trauma to genetics, some patients have scant facial hair for their beard, moustache, or sideburns. Some have small deficiencies in these areas; others have a complete lack of hair density.

Follicular unit hair transplantation is an excellent technique to restore facial hair. Hair from the scalp is taken through the traditional strip follicular unit transplantation or the follicular unit extraction technique. The hair is then transplanted to the face, one by one, to restore the sideburns, beard, or moustache.

Depending on the area to be filled, anywhere from a few hairs to thousands can be transplanted resulting in great natural appearing results with good densities.
