You’ve done all the work. You’ve dieted. Exercised. You’ve even tried a few cleanses.
But there’s nothing that’s budging that extra stomach fat clinging to your abdomen.
The struggle is real – and that’s why you may need a little extra help to get the flat tummy you’ve always wanted. Here at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, we have a couple of options that can help you get rid of stomach fat once and for all.
Liposuction for Stomach Fat Reduction
Still one of the most popular surgical procedures out there, traditional liposuction remains an excellent option for patients who want to reduce stomach fat. Liposuction can be effective at targeting abdominal fat, particularly the kind that won’t respond to traditional diet and exercise.
At El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, we combine traditional liposuction methods with laser heat energy to help reduce post-op swelling and bruising. The laser heat energy is delivered via the cannula to the targeted treatment area; this heat liquefies the fat, which is then drained through the cannula. The initial results are almost immediate, especially for patients who have a noticeable roll around the stomach and waistline.
Liposuction is an excellent option for patients who have good skin laxity and are about 30 pounds away from their ideal weight. Keep in mind that liposuction is not a weight-loss solution.
CoolSculpting: Your Non-Surgical Body Contouring Solution
If you don’t want to undergo liposuction or you don’t have that much extra stomach fat to treat, you might be a good candidate for CoolSculpting treatments. This non-surgical procedure uses freezing energy to target stomach fat. Once the fat cells have been treated, they crystallize and eventually shrink, causing noticeable inch loss around the stomach and waistline.
CoolSculpting is a great option for people who are about 15 to 20 pounds away from their ideal weight and don’t want to deal with the downtime that comes with a surgical procedure. Like liposuction, CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss solution.
