What is Juvederm® Volbella™ XC?
As part of the aging process, collagen depletion occurs in the lips. This can result in a loss of definition, fine lines and wrinkles in or around the lips, and loss of the youthful red or pink color. The lips are a youthful feature of the face and Volbella™ can be a perfect option to revive aging lips.
Volbella™ is an injectable hyaluronic acid filler that can be used to improve the appearance of the lips. Volbella™ is a gel that is injected with a fine needle to give a subtle lip enhancement and soften the appearance of lines around the mouth or on the lips. Volbella™ works with the VYCROSS® technology, by building depleted hyaluronic acid in the skin while adding a touch of volume to the lines and wrinkles.
What is a Juvederm® Volbella™ XC Treatment Like?
Juvéderm® Volbella™ XC can be used to rejuvenate the lips, oral area, and other fine lines and wrinkles. During your treatment, one of our experienced Nurse Injectors will use a fine needle to inject a small amount of filler into the lips. The treatment typically takes just 2-3 minutes.
Having Allergan Trainers on our team allows our experienced nurse injectors to safely inject Volbella™ to other off-label areas. The number of syringes needed depends on the amount of volume loss and the patient’s desired results.
Recovery and Results After a Juvederm® Volbella™ XC Treatment?
There is no downtime after Volbella™ injections. Patients may experience some minor swelling, tenderness, or bruising at the injection site. It is recommended to sleep on your back for the first three nights post-injection so as to not put any shifting pressure on the filler. Full results are seen in two weeks, as swelling and bruising fully dissipate.
Results from Volbella™ can last for 6 months to 1 year. However, each patient is different and results can vary on a case-to-case basis. To maintain your smooth lips and the results from Volbella™, it is recommended to be treated on a regular basis. Volbella™ is not intended to give your lips volume or plumpness, but rather to smooth out their overall appearance.
