Frequently Asked Questions

In order to provide you with convenient answers to questions you may have, here are the questions most often asked by our prospective patients. We encourage all of our prospective patients to write down a list of their questions and bring it with them to their consultation appointment, ensuring all their questions are adequately answered.

FAQ´s about Consultations

The cost of the consultation is $300. However, the cost is credited towards your procedure or treatment. The cost of the consultation for first-time prospective patients is the same for Dr. Sozer, and MedSpa providers. Credit will be saved on your account for up to 3 years for the same surgery. Consultation fees cannot be transferred to a different department or surgeon.

We require pre-payment of the consultation fee to reserve your appointment. We accept all major credit cards.

We ask that all of our patients arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time. Please expect to be at your appointment for at least 1-2 hours. This includes filling out forms and consultation.

Our surgeons believe it’s very important to establish a strong relationship with you prior to any surgery. You will spend time with both your surgeon and patient care coordinator at your first consultation appointment.

At your initial appointment with your surgeon you will typically:

  • Fill out medical history and demographic forms (please bring a list of current medications you are taking and past surgical history
  • Spend time with your surgeon and patient coordinator
  • May have photos taken for result simulation
  • Have a physical examination by the surgeon (you may need to undress for a physical exam)
  • See before and after photos of previous surgery results
  • Find out more about your recommended surgical options
  • Received detailed information about your surgery (i.e risks, recovery)
  • Find out about surgery pricing and available dates
  • Discuss financial options
  • Ask any other questions you may have

We apologize in advance if our surgeon is running slightly behind schedule on the day you attend. They usually run on time, but occasionally – working in health care – there may be a slight delay.

Yes, we can use Canfield Vectra 3D Imaging during your initial consultation to show you a range of possible outcomes after your procedure.

FAQ´s about Surgery

At El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, we have our own state-of-the-art surgical center, allowing us to accommodate patients sooner. However, there are mandatory wait times prior to surgery. If you have a specific date in mind, please get in touch with us as soon as possible to help you schedule your surgery and best meet your scheduling preferences.

Surgery wait times can vary depending on the time of the year and other factors, including the type of surgery and whether there is preparation required for your procedure.

At the time of your consultation, you will be given a detailed quote for your procedure. This will include the surgeon’s fee, anesthesia fee, and other costs associated with your surgery. There will be no hidden costs.

We require a minimum of 20% down payment to be put on the surgery schedule. Full payment must be paid 3 weeks prior to surgery. Failure to pay the balance within the deadline may result in the rescheduling of the surgery, as well as possible fees.

We do not have in-house financing. However, we do accept several financing options, including CareCredit, Prosper Healthcare Lending, United Healthcare, GECU Financing, and all major credit cards.

FAQ´s about Recovery

Your stay varies on how quickly you can recover after the surgery. Most procedures are considered outpatient; however, if you do require an overnight stay, our facility and staff will accommodate you. Additional costs apply for overnight stay.

At the time of your consultation, your surgeon will discuss the length of your stay and explain why you may need to stay overnight if required.

Unless you are having a procedure under local anesthetic, all patients require a responsible party over the age of 18 to drive them home. We will not release patients to driving services such as taxis or Uber.

Each patient is different, so your time off work will vary due to your speed of recovery and the type of work you do. During your consultation, your surgeon will give you an estimated time frame based off of your procedure plan and lifestyle.

At the time of your consultation, we will discuss the type of exercise that you would like to do and how soon you can return to exercise based of your proposed procedure plan.
