Facial rejuvenation has become widely popular among both men and women over the years. A facelift gives you the ability to look younger and healthier for years to come. With the large variety of procedures and techniques available, many patients are left asking ‘Which facelift is right for me?’
Facelifts are categorized based on a number of factors including the extent of the surgery and the number of facial corrections. Only you can decide what’s right for you but you can use this guide to start your decision-making process.
A mini facelift typically uses smaller incisions resulting in a shorter recovery time. Mini facelifts are ideal for patients with mild to moderate wrinkles and would like a more permanent solution to fillers. During a mini facelift, only the lower to mid portion of your face is tightened. If you’re looking to correct cosmetic issues in the upper region of your face, a mini facelift may not be for you. Often, a mini facelift is for younger patients in the 30-40 range or for clients who need a touch up down the line from a full facelift.
A full facelift is a more extensive procedure with longer downtime. During a full facelift, you’ll receive a combination of procedures including; Mid-facelift, Neck Lift, and a Brow/Forehead Lift. Dr. Sozer will also be able to adjust the underlying fat and muscle with a full facelift rather than simply tightening the skin.
