What is Juvederm® Vollure™ XC?
As we age, the soft tissue in our faces begins to descend downwards, and our skin loses its youthful elasticity. This can lead to deep wrinkles and folds in the face that can have an unflattering appearance and make us look older than we are.
Juvederm® Vollure™ is an injectable hyaluronic acid gel that can be used to improve the appearance of aging skin and facial volume loss. The filler is injected with a fine needle into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial folds. Vollure™ works with VYCROSS® technology, and it builds up depleted hyaluronic acid in the skin while adding volume to the lines and wrinkles, providing longer-lasting and smoother results than other comparable fillers.
What is a Juvederm® Vollure™ XC Treatment Like?
Vollure™ is designed to temporarily correct facial lines such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and other volume-lacking areas on the face. During your treatment, your Nurse Injector will help you assess which areas of your face are depleted in volume, and where filler should be added. A thin needle will then be used to inject a small amount of filler under the skin in the designated treatment areas. The injections usually only take 2-3 minutes.
Having Allergan Trainers on our team allows our experienced nurse injectors to safely inject Vollure™ to other off-label areas. This can include areas such as the nose and tear troughs. The number of syringes of Vollure™ that you will need will depend on the amount of volume loss and your desired results.
Recovery and Results After a Juvederm® Vollure™ XC Treatment?
There is no downtime required after Vollure™ injections. However, we recommend that you sleep on your back for the first three nights post-injection. This ensures that there is no shifting pressure on the filler while you sleep. Full results from Vollure™ are seen in two weeks, as some swelling and bruising should be expected.
Treatment results can last up to 18 months. However, each patient’s body will process the filler differently, and results can vary on an individual basis. To maintain your level of facial volume and preserve results long-term, it is recommended to undergo regular Vollure™ injections.
