How Does miraDry® Work to Reduce Sweat?

During the treatment, the miraDry® handpiece delivers electromagnetic energy to the sweat glands. The sweat glands absorb this energy, creating heat that deactivates them and stops them from producing sweat. Your entire appointment will usually take about an hour. Your provider will use a local anesthetic to numb your underarms, then begin treatment.
