How Does the Glidelift™ Get Rid of Wrinkles?

Are you starting to feel frustrated with wrinkles and other signs of aging when you look in the mirror? El Paso Cosmetic Surgery has helped hundreds of patients rejuvenate their appearance with facelift procedures. But now, Dr. Ozan Sozer has developed an advanced technique that can give you the same exceptional results with no visible scarring.

Glidelift™ vs. Traditional Facelift (Rhytidectomy)

A facelift, also known as rhytidectomy, is a procedure to tighten and lift facial tissues that start to sag with age. Dr. Ozan Sozer created a modified version of this procedure, the GlideLift, to give patients even better outcomes.

Both a facelift and the Glide Lift involve tightening facial tissues. The primary difference is that the Glidelift™ involves a vertical facelift for the best results but uses an innovative technique with concealed incisions to minimize scarring.

GlideLift Benefits

The Glidelift™ repositions facial skin, fat, and muscle to a more youthful position. This lifts drooping skin and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles. As a version of the vertical facelift, this procedure produces the most dramatic and long-lasting results that still look natural without stretching the skin.

Dr. Sozer’s Glidelift™ has all the benefits of a deep-plane facelift but leaves behind no visible scarring. You can expect to look years younger, and the results of this facelift procedure last 10 years or more

How Does a Glidelift™ Procedure Work?

Like other facelift procedures, a Glidelift™ is performed under general anesthesia at our accredited surgical center. Dr. Sozer will make tiny incisions hidden within either side of your hairline. Through these, he will use a lighted retractor to lift and illuminate the skin.

He will then perform a vertical facelift with or without a deep plane neck lift. Making incisions under the skin, he will release the underlying ligaments that cause tension so that he can lift and tighten the skin, fat, and muscle simultaneously. This way, the skin isn’t stretched and no strain is created, which often leads to short-term and unnatural-looking results with traditional facelift methods.

Dr. Sozer will secure the tissues in their new position with a surgical net. This will be removed two days after the procedure and won’t leave any visible marks once healed.
