How Much Does an Arm Lift Cost?

If you’re self-conscious about the appearance of your upper arms due to sagging skin or excess fat, you’re not alone. Fat in this area can be difficult to get rid of, especially if you also have loose skin. But with an arm lift at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery, flabby arms can finally be a thing of the past.

What is an Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)?

An arm lift is a cosmetic surgery that reshapes the upper arms by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in a more toned and defined appearance. Also known as brachioplasty, the procedure is commonly performed on individuals who have lost significant weight or who have loose skin from the natural aging process.

How Much is an Arm Lift?

The cost of an arm lift varies depending on several factors, such as the surgeon’s experience, the location of the practice, and the extent of the procedure. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of an arm lift in the United States is $4,861. However, keep in mind that this cost does not include other expenses, such as anesthesia fees, facility costs, and post-operative garments. With all fees included, it is around $12,000.

How Does an Arm Lift Work?

Dr. Sozer and Dr. Philips perform three types of brachioplasty at El Paso Cosmetic Surgery: short scar, standard, and extended. Depending on the procedure, your surgeon will make incisions on the underside of the arms or in the armpits. They will then remove excess skin and, if necessary, use liposuction to remove additional fat deposits.

What to Expect After an Arm Lift

After an arm lift, patients will experience some discomfort, swelling, and bruising. We will give you tips and medication if needed to manage any discomfort, which should subside within a few days. You should plan on having limited arm mobility for a few weeks, but most patients return to work within two weeks.

Some bruising and swelling can linger for several weeks after an arm lift, and this may obscure your results at first. Patients typically see their full results three to six months after brachioplasty. You can enjoy slimmer, more toned arms without excess skin and fat. The results of an arm lift are long-lasting if you maintain a steady weight.

Am I a Good Candidate for an Arm Lift?

During your consultation, Dr. Philips or Dr. Sozer will help you determine if brachioplasty is right for you. Ideal candidates are overall healthy and have realistic expectations for the procedure. You may benefit from an arm lift if you have:

  • Stubborn arm fat
  • Loose, excess skin on the upper arms
  • Flabby arms or “bat wings”
  • Sagging upper arms

I had my procedure done with Dr. Sozer and I have to say, He is not only an amazing Doctor, but a great person! He is very patient and will answer all questions. The staff is also amazing. They take care of you very well. The entire process, from consult to aftercare is wonderful! Thank you Dr. Sozer and staff!!!! Would definitely recommend it!
